Page 5 of 11 Remove wood bungs from teak rails and then remove the large screws. I typically start with a small drill hole down the center till the bit stops on the screw head. I then use a Craftsman 1/4" chisel to remove the wood until the screw is completely exposed. You must apply straight downward pressure as to not crack the wood on the sides. On my boat there were 4 on either side and 2 along the rear.
