While trying to install a new dinghy on the poop deck I tried to lift the boat using the mast and boom when all of a sudden my wife and I heard a pop.  Notice the loose mast cable.  Dry rot in the wood decking on the starboard side allowed the eye bolt to pull up by about 2 inches.
