Dear Senator McCain,

I have been a republican for over 20 years now for the simple reason that I like the principals that republicans stand for as you so indicated at the convention.

I implore you to take the time to make the right decision regarding the financial crises and here is why.

I believe that you did not mince words when you said the economy is strong. I believe that you are correct and that the bulk of the economy is strong. My small computer consulting company of 4 people has had a good year. Most of my clients are small businesses and they have had a good year. One client just two days ago hired a new employee and is adding a new product line for west coast distribution. Another client just opened a new location. The restaurants that I frequent may not have a line out the door every night but they aren't going out of business either. I shop at Home Depot from time to time and while they are not quite as packed they are not going out of business any time soon. Costco lines are still just as long as they have always been. You can put off a haircut to every 6 weeks or so, or put a few extra miles on those car tires but at some point you have to spend some money on maintenance. Some sectors of the economy are ailing but many are not.
