Serious Positive Change in Iraq

I am flat out disappointed with the progress in Iraq. I just saw a picture of an elderly woman waiting for a bus to get out of the country and go to Syria. Can you imagine, of all places to try to escape to. Syria?

If the government of Iraq won’t work then let’s get rid of it. I also can’t stand the thought of just pulling out and leaving the average citizen at the mercy of everyone and every other country that has some agenda. Too many people will die, be tortured, hurt, or displaced.

From this date forward Iraq is no longer a country with its own government, army, and currency. Let’s divide Iraq into states just like the US. All federal laws that apply here in the United States now apply there too. Iraq will be part of the United States of America. Property ownership, business ownership, currency, military, education, etcetera will all follow the same laws that we follow. The smaller states in Iraq will elect there own officials and establish there own local laws just like all states in the US do. The currency will be the dollar. Corporate and personal taxes will be the same as everyone else in the US. The military will be abolished and folded into the current US military. Government control of electric, hospitals, water, and sewer will be privatized.

The United States did not get to be the greatest nation by cutting and running. We stood fast and kept trying new ideas until we found something that worked. I am tired of listing to Harry Reid senator for Nevada or Congresswomen Nancy Pelosi constantly saying lets get out of Iraq. All mouth but no new ideas. While the American people don’t like what is currently going on I am sure that they don’t want to see a massacre when we pull out.

Lets make serious change in Iraq and lets make it a positive one.
